It’s Festival Season!
November is rapidly approaching. With it comes all of the familiar smells of Thanksgiving dinner, but that doesn’t mean fall isn’t already here! The weather might not indicate it, but fall is, in fact, here and Houston area fall festivals have been in full swing all month. Two fall festivals which Neighbors attended were the Barbers Hill Fall Fest on October 18th and the Humble Fall Festival on October 25th.

Culture and Business Come Together
This past September, Pasadena hosted its Livestock Show & Rodeo. Always aware that community is one of the most important parts of life, Neighbors jumped at the opportunity to support this incredible local tradition. From a beauty pageant to a trail ride to the generosity of the scholarships given and the diverse number of livestock shown, Pasadena celebrated its culture for the whole month of September (and the tail end of August, too), culminating in an epic chili cook off. Neighbors was there as a proud sponsor; we even brought our billboard truck!

On August 9, 2014, Neighbors’ new Austin Lakeline location took another step toward its goal of becoming Austin’s best neighbors ever. The center got to know its community better by participating in the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and Job Fair.

Helping to End Houston Hunger
Tens of thousands of Houston residents are too poor to feed themselves. The problem only gets worse in the summer, when children can’t receive free cafeteria lunches at school and parents are forced to find room in the budget for more food or watch their kids go hungry.

Neighbors Emergency Center has become a sponsor of the 100 Club of Pearland. Neighbors is now a Gold Business Member of the organization and a supporter of its endeavors to assist the police officers of the City of Pearland.
