Autism Awareness

This Saturday April 9th join the Harlingen community in raising awareness with their 4th annual Autism Awareness Day. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lon C. Hill Park located on 100 North L. Street, Harlingen, TX.  Autism affects one in 68 children in the United States, with numbers that continue to rise. This event provides the community with the opportunity to learn more about autism, how it affects family members, and how to better communicate with service providers in this field. All activities and information provided will be free, and are open to the public. Neighbors Emergency Center will have an informational tent, and be distributing promotional items for autism including stress balls. Please be sure to stop by, say hello, and gather some valuable information. We hope to see you this weekend as we work to strengthen the understanding, connection and education of autism.
